This qualification aims at providing you with the skills and knowledge needed to work in a hospital environment, as a acute care assistance, assistant in nursing, nursing assistant, nursing support worker, orderly, operating theatre technician, theatre support, patient service attendant, patient support assistant, patient care assistant, ward assistant, wards person, ward support.
This qualification is delivered with a combination of 16 weeks of theory, practical, self directed learning and work experience. Students are required to complete a minimum work requirement of 80 hours in a health care setting as part of their assessment.

Consideration is given to your prior life and work experiences as well as formal and informal training. This may be applied using the national standard for Mutual Recognition or through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Documentary evidence will be requested.
